In what some are calling a great step forward in “re-greening” the Atlanta police force, Buckhead area cops have recieved special training and new bikes to help them patrol the area.  Citing the positive environmental impact, as well as the improved mobility bikes will afford the police in the area, Denise Starling, executive director of BATMA stated that, “For every mile a car is driven, a pound of pollution is released into the atmosphere, so these bikes will help improve air quality in Buckhead.”
